Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent of transformational leadership practices from the perspective of employees in public hospitals in Tartous, focusing on its four dimensions: idealized influence, individualized consideration, inspirational motivation, and intellectual stimulation. A descriptive research design was employed, and data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The researcher distributed 288 questionnaires to employees working in public hospitals (the Children’s Hospital and the Maternity Hospital) in Tartous, of which 233 valid responses were retrieved and analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS, version 25). The findings revealed statistically significant differences between the actual level of transformational leadership implementation in public hospitals in Tartous and the expected level. Overall, the degree of application across the four dimensions was found to be high. The ranking of the dimensions, based on the degree of application, was as follows: idealized influence in first place, followed by inspirational motivation, individualized consideration, and intellectual stimulation.
