Abstract

building the Syrian economy during the period (2011-2020), as rebuilding again assumes addressing developmental imbalances through a strategic national program formulated to contribute to the gradual recovery of Syria, hence the importance of applying reconstruction policies within this developmental framework on the one hand, and knowing its reflection on building the Syrian economy on the other hand, and the research hypotheses were tested by relying on the analytical descriptive method, through a review of economic literature and previous studies that addressed the political economy of reconstruction, and analyzing data related to.

The study found that reconstruction policies were met with many challenges, the most important of which was the economic sanctions on Syria, as the Syrian government was working to achieve continuity in providing basic government services, continuing the work of government institutions and meeting the basic needs of citizens, which means that reconstruction policies are still in a bottleneck and have not yet reached the level of effectiveness that ensured the achievement of the development framework supporting the Syrian economy, and the effectiveness of reconstruction policies in building the Syrian economy so far has not been realized, The analysis shows that the economic indicators during the period (2011-2020) in Syria were not at a good level, neither at the level of economic growth, nor at the level of investment, as well as exchange rate rates. This emphasizes the need to set reconstruction policies within a developmental framework that leads to the achievement of the required effectiveness in building the Syrian economy.
