The current research aimed to identify the degree to which kindergarten children in the third age group (5-6 years) In the city of Tartous possess oral expression skills across its dimensions. To achieve this goal, the researcher prepared an observation card consisting of (26) skills distributed across four domains (cognitive, linguistic, phonetic, and physical). The validity and reliability of the card were verified, and it was then applied to a sample of (81) children during the academic year (2024-2025) using the descriptive method. The responses of the sample members were analyzed using the (SPSS) program, and the results were as follows:
- Kindergarten children possess oral expression skills across all dimensions at a low level.
- There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) in the degree of oral expression skills among kindergarten children, attributed to the variable of kindergarten type (public, private), in favor of private kindergartens.
- There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) in the degree of oral expression skills among kindergarten children, attributed to the variable of gender (male, female), in favor of females.
4- Kindergarten children (the research sample) possess oral expression skills, In the intellectual and phonetic domains, To a greater degree than their possession of skills in the linguistic and physical domains.
The research concluded with a set of recommendations, including:
- Conducting regular training workshops to develop oral expression strategies for kindergarten teachers.
- Enriching the linguistic environment in kindergartens and preparing interactive dialogue-based activities.
- Integrating motor activities through the use of dramatic representation and language games to enhance oral expression skills, particularly linguistic and physical ones.
