Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the role of school principals in Lattakia city in achieving the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals from the teachers’ point of view, The descriptive analytical approach was Used. To achieve the research objectives, a questionnaire was used consisting of a three of axes, namely: quality education, equitable and inclusive education for all, and lifelong education for all, It was applied to a random sample of (321) male and female teachers from the primary education stage, first episode in the schools of Lattakia city, and the psychometric properties of the questionnaire were extracted.

The results showed that most items in the three axes (quality education, equitable and inclusive education for all, and lifelong education for all) received an average rating, with some items receiving a high rating, particularly those related to teachers' understanding of curricula, the use of technology, providing equal educational opportunities, encouraging cooperation among learners, and providing grants and assistance.

The results also showed that there is no difference between the average responses of the study sample of teachers to the questionnaire on the role of government school principals in achieving the fourth goal of the sustainable development goals from the teachers’ point of view, depending on the variable of the number of years of experience, In addition, there is a difference between the average responses of the study sample of teachers to the questionnaire on the role of government school principals in achieving the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals from the teachers’ point of view, according to the educational qualification variable (university degree, educational qualification diploma), and this difference is in favor of teachers who hold an educational qualification diploma.
