The current research aimed to examine the degree of organizational commitment among first-cycle basic education teachers in the city of Tartous, and the degree of which their principals possessed soft skills, in addition to identifying the relationship between them. The study employed a descriptive approach, using a questionnaire as the data collection tool, and its sample included (160) teachers from (14) schools in Tartous.
The research reached the following results:
-The level of organizational commitment among teachers in the first cycle schools of basic education was moderate, with a mean score of (2,07).
-The principals' soft skills were generally moderate, with a mean score of (1.83).
- A statistically significant positive correlation, but very weak, was found between teachers' organizational commitment and their principals' soft skills.
