Abstract

The research aimed to identify the attitude of teachers of the first cycle of basic education in Tartous city towards digital education, and to reveal the differences between the average scores of the research sample members’ answers to the attitude questionnaire towards digital education according to the variables: (specialization, training courses followed, type). The research adopted the descriptive analytical approach, and the research sample consisted of (97) male and female teachers in the official schools of the city of Tartous. The researcher used the attitude questionnaire towards digital education. The research concluded that the attitude of the research sample of teachers of the first cycle of basic education in the city of Tartous towards digital education was at a medium positive evaluation level, and the attitude of the research sample of classroom teachers was at a medium positive evaluation level, and the attitude of the research sample of specialist teachers was at a high positive evaluation level. It also showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample members on the attitude questionnaire towards digital education according to the specialization variable in favor of specialist teachers, and there were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample members on the attitude questionnaire towards digital education according to the specialization variable in favor of specialist teachers, and there were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample members. The research sample members' responses to the digital education attitude questionnaire were determined by gender. There were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample members on the digital education attitude questionnaire based on the course they took, favoring teachers who took the technology integration course.
