The study aims to evaluate workforce downsizing as a crisis management strategy by examining its impact on the emotional, behavioral, and cognitive responses of organizations to crises. The study was conducted using a descriptive survey approach, through a literature review and a field study. A questionnaire was distributed to a simple random sample of Syrian Trade employees, Damascus and Tartous branches Statistical methods, most notably the Pearson correlation coefficient and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), led to several results, the most important of which is the significant impact of workforce downsizing on the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral responses of organizations.
