What has expanded the scope of this right is the digital and technological development that has resulted from it, which has led to the flow of news and rumors becoming easier than before. Social media networks have become the most dangerous means and tools currently used to spread rumors.

Therefore, it was necessary to establish a set of limits and controls that would regulate these practices on the ground in line with the provisions of national law and international human rights law.
