جائحة كورونا (COVID- 19) وأثرها في الائتمان والودائع في القطاع المصرفي "دراسة حالة المصارف التّجاريّة الخاصّة العاملة في سورية"

Abstract

The goal of this research is to know the impact of the Korona (19) Covid on the size of the credit granted and the size of deposits in banks  Private commercial in Syria, during the period from 2017 to 2022. To achieve the goal of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was used to describe and analyze the research variables represented by the independent variable, which is the Korona pandem  The subsidized variables were represented by deposits and credit granted, in addition to the presence of controlled variables represented by the bank’s size and the rate of return on assets.

    Panel Data annual data has been used and data is analyzed using 10 EVIEWS statistical program.  Unit root tests were used to ensure data stability, and the ARDL joint integration test was used and the results resulting from this test were explained.  Where the results indicated that there is a negative impact of the Corona pandemic on the volume of credit granted and the size of the deposits, and for the control changes, the results indicated that there is a positive impact for both the bank size and the rate of return on assets in the volume of credit and the size of deposits in private commercial banks in Syria.
