□ ABSTRACT□
Intertextuality has been a focus of attention for many modern scholars, in addition to its presence in earlier studies under different names. This is because it is a phenomenon that cannot be overlooked by many authors, including the Syrian short story writer "Zakaria Tamer", who excelled in this genre. A direct intersection with the story of Creation can be observed in many of his stories, and this is what attracted our attention in this research. We employed a descriptive-analytical approach to study the intertextuality with the story of Creation in Zakaria Tamer's stories. Our aim was to demonstrate the author's ability to transcend the initial narrative of the story to express his opinion and his perspective on true creation and its completion. Among the findings of our research is that the reference to the story in Tamer's stories sometimes comes from the author and sometimes from the reader. Furthermore, creation in Tamer's stories always ends in nihilism, confirming that the author adheres to nihilistic philosophy, which sees nihilism as a continuation of existence. Other findings will be presented later.
