Abstract

This research is an attempt at as a systematic attempt to read the art of parallelism in the poetry of (Mohammad al-Furati).

This art has received the attention of ancient and modern rhetoricians alike, and the research was based on carrying the ideas of the people of rhetoric and applying them to some of the texts of (Mohammad al-Furati); as the poet employed it in poems that were distinguished by the quality of performance and the accuracy of depiction, and this art cooperated with the rest of the linguistic structures to form poetic texts full of meanings indicating poetic purposes, sometimes characterised by clarity, and sometimes by hidden implication that is understood from the general context in which it appears.
