This research examines the representations of socio-political discourse in Ibn al-Labbana al-Dani's elegy for the fall of the Banu Abbad dynasty. It employs the framework of socio-cognitive discourse analysis, specifically Theon van Dijk's methodology, as an approach that reveals the deep structures through which awareness of the historical event was formed at a pivotal moment of political collapse in the history of Andalusia. The research begins by reading the poem as a space where the textual structure intertwines with the poet's mental representations, and where the image of the fall is reconstructed through language laden with political and social connotations. The tragedy of the state thus merges with the tragedy of the individual in a discourse that observes the fragility of power, the fragmentation of identity, and the transformations of the social sphere. The research attempts to clarify how the text produces this awareness through a system of strategies that reveal the nature of the tension between collective memory and loss, and highlight the capacity of poetic discourse to question and reshape reality. This is achieved through a striking convergence of the aesthetic and ideological dimensions, offering a poetic and cognitive reading of the Andalusians' consciousness during the harsh period of transformation they witnessed
