The research aimed to study the attitudes of young people towards addressing family issues on MBC and LANA satellite channels. To achieve this goal, the descriptive approach was used using a social sample survey method. The researcher prepared a scale specific to the research and applied it to a sample of (250) male and female students from the Department of Sociology at Lattakia University. After entering the data into the SPSS program and using appropriate statistical methods, the results showed that the two channels provide a diverse treatment of family issues through dramatic and programmatic content, with a clear tendency among sample members to accept this content, especially in terms of value and cultural messages, while the dramatic treatment received a high level of acceptance due to the realistic portrayal of family problems it provides and its effective treatment of them. The attitudes of males and females toward addressing family issues were similar, with no statistically significant differences between the sexes. However, senior students exhibited a more critical view of media coverage than junior students. Furthermore, the results revealed that increased viewing hours were associated with more pronounced attitudes toward the content, while responses from those who watched less than an hour per day tended to be neutral due to their limited exposure to media content. A strong, statistically significant correlation was also found between the quality of coverage of family issues on satellite channels and viewer satisfaction, underscoring the importance of media style in shaping overall satisfaction. Concluding the study, a set of proposals were presented, focusing on the need to enhance positive media content related to family issues and develop methods for dramatic and dialogue-based coverage that achieve a balance between artistic appeal and substantive depth. Furthermore, the study recommended involving youth in evaluating and developing media content to ensure its compatibility with their cultural and social needs and enhance their critical awareness.
