Abstract

The research aimed to study the relationship between family upbringing methods and quality of life. To achieve this goal, a descriptive approach was used using a social survey sample. The "Ambo" test for family upbringing methods was used, in addition to the quality of life scale developed by the researcher. These tools were applied to a sample of (245) male and female students from the seventh to the third secondary grades at Al-Kumait Blidi School for the Gifted in Lattakia. After collecting the data, entering it into SPSS, and using appropriate statistical methods, the results showed that positive family upbringing methods, such as encouragement, guidance, empathy, and tolerance, are positively associated with children's quality of life. Negative parenting methods, such as physical abuse, cruelty, and guilt, are negatively associated with quality of life. These results reflect the importance of positive family upbringing in enhancing children's quality of life. At the end of the research, a set of proposals were presented that would enhance positive parenting methods and potentially contribute to raising children's quality of life.
