Abstract

 

The current research aimed to investigate the challenges of using digital technology to improve classroom management and enhance teaching efficiency from the perspective of teachers in elementary schools in Tartous city. The study sample consisted of 152 teachers, selected randomly. The study relied on a descriptive approach and designed a questionnaire consisting of 30 items distributed across the areas of challenges in classroom management and teaching efficiency, using a five-point Likert scale to assess responses. The results showed the presence of challenges in classroom management, with an average score of 3.25, and teaching efficiency with an average score of 2.68, with no significant differences in responses based on the number of years of experience. Teachers who attended training courses had an average score of 61.57, while those who did not attend courses had a higher average score of 67.74, indicating significant differences (p = 0.000). Additionally, teachers who participated in training courses recorded an average of 46.84 compared to 52.89 for those who did not undergo training, suggesting that non-participants may have more positive perceptions of teaching practices, necessitating further research to understand this phenomenon.
