The aim of this research is to identify the role of artificial intelligence in imparting scientific concepts to kindergarten children from the perspective of kindergarten teachers in the city of Tartous.
To achieve this goal, the descriptive method was used along with a questionnaire consisting of 30 items, covering three domains. The study sample included 40 kindergarten teachers in Tartous City. To ensure the validity of the questionnaire, it was reviewed by a panel of five experts from the Faculty of Education at Tartous University. Its reliability was confirmed by applying it to a pilot sample of 10 teachers not included in the research sample , and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was calculated, reaching (0.82), indicating the reliability of the research tool.
The study concluded with the following findings:
Artificial intelligence plays a significant role in imparting scientific concepts to kindergarten children, according to the study sample. This includes enhancing scientific thinking skills, simplifying scientific concepts, and fostering scientific curiosity and exploration.
The study offered several recommendations, the most important of which are:
— Designing interactive educational platforms supported by artificial intelligence that present simplified scientific concepts to kindergarten children.
— Training kindergarten teachers on using artificial intelligence tools to explain scientific concepts.
