Abstract

     Autobiographical  writing is an important source of literary expression, leading to the emergence of various literary genres that place the self at the center of narration and writing, no longer confined to a single literary form. These genres include autobiography, mémoires, journals, and confessions among others.                                                                                                                                        

This study focuses on autobiography and mémoires to examine the overlap between them by highlighting their key similarities and differences.
