Abstract

This research is an attempt at as a systematic reading of the poetry of (Mohammad Mahdi al-Jawahiri) based on attempts to renew rhetoric in the modern era. The antithesis in Al-Jawahiri’s poetry formed an integrated structure that carried the poet’s concerns, pains, and hopes, and the poet employed it in poems that were distinguished by the quality of per for Mance and the accuracy of depiction, we find in his poems the cooperation of antithesis with the rest of the linguistic structures to form poetic texts that penetrated the depths of phenomena to evaluate them, the phenomenon of antithesis was also distinguished by the rich and significant meanings that the poet employed in a way that highlighted its value, whether it came Cleary apparent in the poem, or came implicit and understood from the general context the verses contained in it .
