Abstract

The aim of the research is identify the presence of post-traumatic growth in a sample of victims of the February 6 earthquake in the city of Jableh in 2023, to arrange its dimensions, and to know the differences of dimensions according to the gender variable. The Tedeschi & Calhoun scale (1996) was used, which was prepared for Arabic by Abdul Aziz Thabet. The sample consisted of (100) individuals of brothers and sisters who lost one of their brothers during the earthquake. The descriptive approach was relied upon.        

The research reach the following results: There is post-traumatic growth in the research sample, and its dimensions were arranged in the sample as follows: (communication, new possibilities, strength of character, appreciation of life, change in the spiritual field). It also became clear that there is no difference in the dimensions of post-traumatic growth according to the gender variable except in the dimension of change in the spiritual field, in favor of males.
