Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of psychological capital and types of goal orientation, and then identify the relationship between psychological capital and goal orientation in its two types among a sample of students of the Faculty of Dentistry/Psychology course at Al-Andalus Private University The study sample consisted of (138) male and female students. The researcher used the goal orientation scale prepared by Jassim & Mahmoud (2015) and the psychological capital scale prepared by (Al-Zeer, 2017), relying on the descriptive approach. The results showed that the students have a high level of psychological capital and adopt two types of goals (learning, performance), and that psychological capital was positively associated with performance and learning goal orientations.
