Abstract

Myth is fundamentally linked to literature and has a clear presence in contemporary Arabic literary production, it falls within this context the poetic discourse of Shaker Mutlaq, the subject of the research, for the myth to be the prominent value in his poetry ..From here we will define the features of the myth of death and revival in his poems and determine the meanings they carry which are related to his vision about himself and his reality, and we will define the new meanings of Ishtar, Adonis and the Phoenix around whom the myths of death and revival that the poet employed.
