Abstract

 

This research aims to study spin waves in antiferromagnetic materials, based on the Ising Hamiltonian, taking into account the Zeeman energy and Larmor precession, by proposing a wave function that describes the behavior of the intrinsic magnetic moments in these materials under the influence of an external magnetic field. These waves appear as waves propagating in the crystal, called spin waves.

Therefore, we tested a new method for calculating the propagation energy of these waves by calculating the mean value of the Ising Hamiltonian, after verifying the validity of the proposed wave function. then , the relationship that indicates the energy was compared with that which indicates the energy value according to the method that uses the Holstein-Primakov transforms and Forier transforms. It was found that both methods give, the same result. We then studied the effect of the external magnetic Feld, in terms of the direction and intensity,on the value of the wave propagation energy
