Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a prevalent endocrine disorder among women of reproductive age, often impairing their quality of life. This study evaluated the impact of an evidence-based educational guideline on cognitive needs and promoting healthy Practices among women with PCOS.
Materials and Methods: A quasi-experimental design was conducted on a purposive sample of 40 women attending gynecology clinics in Al- Lattakia University Hospital and the Maternity and Children Hospital between November 2024 and February 2025. Data were collected using a researcher-designed questionnaire before and after three weekly educational sessions.
Results: post-intervention analysis showed statistically significant improvements(P<0.01), with 67.5% of participants achieving a good level of knowledge, 72.5% adhering to dietary recommendations, and 60% engaging in physical activity.
Recommendations: The study highlights the effectiveness of evidence-based guidelines in improving patients’ awareness and health Practices. It recommends integration such guidelines into healthcare services to promote empowerment and improve quality of life.
