This study aimed to the extent of the use of crisis management methods from the point of view of heads of nursing departments at the National Hospital in Tartous, in order to know the extent of readiness and preparedness that this hospital enjoys in dealing with crises, as well as to know the extent of the relationship between the stages of the crisis management system with each other. The descriptive and analytical approach was relied upon and the questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting data The sample included 54 nursing department heads working at the National Hospital in Tartous, and the data were collected using a tool developed by the researcher. The general results of the study showed that the hospital has a high crisis management strategy in most stages, and that the most influential stages on the performance of the National Hospital were the application of the learning stage, followed by the recovery stage, then the damage containment stage, followed by the preparedness and prevention stage, while the detection and early warning stage was applied to a medium degree and its impact on the hospital's performance came in fifth place. The level of awareness of nursing department heads of crisis management in the hospital was generally high, and a good number of sample members were aware of the existence of a crisis management plan at the hospital level.
