دراسة الواقع الراهن لتشجير الشوارع بمدينة اللاذقية – دراسة حالة شارع الثورة

Abstract

The research was conducted in the city of Latakia on Al-Thawra Street ,2025. The research aims to analyze tree rows, study the diversity of trees, and estimate the ideal condition of the tree species planted in Al- Thawra Street in Latakia City Using Li et al .'s equation (2011), and compare reality with the approved scientific rules and controls.

Results of this paper revealed prominent breaks in the arboreal rows, and that these rows contain three botanic species (Washingtonia filifera H. , Melia azedarach L.  , Ligustrum ovalifolium  ) and results showed that the ratios of many taxonomic units were not ideal and we also noticed the irregular distribution of individuals between the types found on the street, which caused distortion of the beauty of the street and underestimated the importance of vegetable component in the street. Findings showed decrease in the value of the ideal four used botanic species where (Ligustrum ovalifolium  ) attained a mark of 6.54/10 and (Washingtonia filifera H.) 7.08/10 , while the degree (Melia azedarach L.  ) was somewhat better 7.64/10  .
