The research aims to shed light on the current state of agricultural cooperatives, identify the activities, services, and programs they provide to cooperative members, and evaluate their economic and social performance. It also seeks to identify the main challenges and obstacles affecting their performance and propose appropriate solutions to enhance the role of these cooperatives and address the issues they face. The study selected cooperative farmers randomly using a systematic stratified sampling method. It employed statistical methods to test causal hypotheses and measure the impact of various variables through descriptive analysis techniques, such as means and frequency distributions, as well as quantitative analysis methods, including correlation and variance analysis. Cronbach’s Alpha was used to assess the reliability of the questionnaire items, and internal consistency was measured. A three-point Likert scale was utilized to analyze the responses of the sample regarding the extent to which they benefited from the services provided by the cooperative. The results indicated a statistically significant impact of the services provided by agricultural cooperatives on agricultural productivity. However, there was no statistically significant effect of the problems faced by cooperative members on their willingness to join the cooperative. The study recommended encouraging membership in agricultural cooperatives and leveraging the services they offer, particularly by conducting sensory assessments for farmers who lack proof of ownership of their agricultural holdings.
