Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the impact of the quality of electronic research services on researchers' satisfaction and scientific research outcomes. The study population consisted of graduate students and faculty members at Tartous University (Faculty of Technical Engineering). The study population consisted of 328 distributors, 160 faculty members, and 168 graduate students. The basis of the research problem lies in the weak capabilities provided by the Faculty of Technical Engineering at Tartous University to its researchers to improve the quality of scientific research. To study the reality and propose solutions, we implemented the following procedures:

- A questionnaire was designed and distributed to 250 researchers, with responses from the first 200 being taken.

- The apparent consistency of the study tool was verified by presenting it to specialists outside the sample and making appropriate adjustments. The stability of the study tool (internal consistency) was verified by applying Cronbach's alpha coefficient, with a value of 0.94 for the first hypothesis and 0.95 for the second hypothesis. The descriptive statistical approach was used to describe the study's tendencies and desires for electronic research tools and methods to conduct their research. Inferential statistics were also used to convert study responses into quantitative data:

Descriptive statistical methods, including frequencies, percentages, graphic representation, arithmetic mean, weighted arithmetic mean, and standard deviation.

Qualitative analysis, where a test was applied Likert scale to analyze the tendencies and desires of members of the studied community for electronic research tools and methods to conduct their research by analyzing the results of the hypotheses.

Statistical Inferential Methods

A one-sample t-test was applied to test the extent of statistical significance in the difference between the arithmetic mean of each question and the mean measured in this study, which is 2.33, using the Excel program.

The research results concluded that there is a statistically significant effect between the determinants of the quality of electronic scientific research services and researchers' satisfaction with them at a significance level of 5% and a degree of freedom of 199. The calculated t-value reached 10.91 for the first basic hypothesis. The arrangement of the partial independent axes with respect to the degree of agreement, according to the values of the arithmetic means, was as follows: 1- Response Index, 2- Attractiveness Index, 3- Trust and Reliability Index. The results of the data analysis regarding the second basic hypothesis concluded that there is a significant effect of researchers' satisfaction with the quality of electronic research services and the quality of their research outputs at a significant level. 5%, and a degree of freedom of 199, with the calculated T value reaching 10.22.
