The research was conducted in the Akkar Plain region of Tartous Governorate during the summer of 2024 . Aiming to evaluate the efficiency of the area's mechanized farming techniques and The most important automated systems most widely used in the region were selected: ( the moldboard plowing system, chisel plowing system, and spraying control system) . Their performance was evaluated by calculating actual productivity, theoretical productivity, field efficiency, availability rate, utilization rate, and operational rate.
The results indicated that the actual productivity of the moldboard and chisel plowing systems was higher than the theoretical productivity because the actual working width was wider than the theoretical width. Thus, the field efficiency of each system differed and amounted to about 114% for the the moldboard plowing system, 102.62% for the chisel plowing system, and 80.53% for the spray control system. The results also showed The availability rate, utilization rate, and operating rate vary from one system to another, and even for a single system, depending on the method of movement used. The availability rate, utilization rate, and operation rate reached 100% using the spray control system, while the availability rate reached 100%, the utilization rate was 55.50%, and the operation rate was 46.53% for the moldboard plowing system in traditional tillage system, and for the method of moving from the middle of the field, the availability rate was 100%, and both Utilization and operation rate were 83.84%, and as for the chisel plowing system, the usability rate was 86.48% due to the presence of a stop during work, and the utilization rate was 87.34% and the operation rate was 75.53%.
