This research explores the creative integration of green spaces in Arab cities throughout history, revealing a unique relationship between architecture and nature. From the private courtyard as an architectural core to neighborhood squares as spaces for social interaction and suburban parks that transformed from functional to civilizational symbols, green spaces were not mere transient ornaments but a vital nucleus shaping social, cultural, and environmental identity. The study also examines the duality between privacy and openness in Arab public spaces compared to the European model, revealing divergent philosophies in dealing with nature and society. Finally, this paper discusses the radical transformations witnessed by modern Arab cities, where globalization and rapid urbanization led to the emergence of hybrid entities seeking balance between authenticity and modernity. This research aims to deconstruct the complex relationship between architecture and environment in the Arab context, and how green spaces were employed as a cultural and civilizational medium reflecting the visions and aspirations of societies over time. The methodology relies on analyzing the evolution of green spaces in Arab architecture across eras, from the courtyard as a functional and aesthetic unit to massive parks as civilizational symbols, studying architectural models to understand the dynamics of interaction between nature and society. The research concludes with a future assessment of the role of green spaces in achieving a balance between modern urbanization and preserving environmental heritage, proposing a planning framework that reconsiders the ecological dimension in contemporary urban design. Through this methodology, the research seeks to present a comprehensive vision combining originality and modernity, revealing the genius of Arab architecture in crafting green spaces that meet the needs of society and embody aesthetic and functional value.
